Machine learning is a hot topic, and being a Data Scientist is going to be more than a trend, as data volume increases, all the ORGS wants to get value from the new data sources (IoT, new Channels, CTX interaction, etc), so learning and being a subject matter expert about Machine Learning is a MUST for all IT professionals. Therefore it’s clear that the rise of big data also has seen a huge demand for data scientists to help companies gain insights from all the data they’re collecting.

So, if you are new to Machine Learning, I highly recommend reading from cover to cover the following book,  An Introduction to Statistical Learning with Applications in R by authors Gareth James, Daniela Witten, Trevor Hastie and Robert Tibshirani and work out all the R exercises from this awesome book! mooc
